Can self-clinching fasteners be used in stainless steel sheet?
Only with fasteners designed for hardened or stainless sheet, because the fastener must be harder than the panel. Tell us the sheet material so we can select the right type.
How are clinch fasteners installed?
With a parallel-acting press into a correctly sized punched or drilled hole. Hammering or impact installation is not recommended.
What is the difference between a clinch nut and a rivet nut?
Clinch nuts need access to both sides and a press, and give a flush, very strong thread in thin sheet. Rivet nuts install blind from one side.
